Event Description
The Office of the Dean for Research provides funding to support the University’s thriving research community in ways that complement and supplement traditional funding sources. Several funding opportunities will have open calls for faculty-led research projects this year. In this session, faculty will learn more about each of the programs, eligibility, and evaluation criteria. Program administrators will be available to answer questions.
Funding programs covered:
- Collaborations between Artists and Scientists or Engineers - up to $150,000
- Eric and Wendy Schmidt Transformative Technology Fund - between $500,000 and $1,000,000 per project, on average
- Intellectual Property Accelerator Fund - up to $100,000
- New Ideas in the Social Sciences – up to $50,000
- New Industrial Collaborations - up to $175,000 with an anticipated industry contribution of $75,000
- New Ideas in the Natural Sciences - up to $200,000
- Sustainability of Our Planet - up to $300,000
- Exploratory Energy Research – up to $150,000
- Princeton Alliance for Collaborative Research and Innovation - up to $250,000
- Provost and Dean for Research Transformative Equipment Initiative: New Opportunities - over $500,000
