Forward Fest is an online series that will continue monthly throughout A Year of Forward Thinking. The events, featuring Princeton faculty and alumni exploring a range of forward-thinking topics, will be free and open to the public. Sparking dialogue among the entire Princeton community — students, faculty, staff, alumni and other interested thinkers — Forward Fest will explore, engage and develop bold thinking for the future.

Arts & Humanities at 4:00 p.m.

In the course of their work, humanities researchers and practicing writers and artists think about notions of time and being and the way we as humans deal with all that confronts us. How is this particular moment in time has impacted the ways of working for these scholars and, relatedly, how does the work emanating from the arts and humanities today tell us something about what it means to be human at this time? Faculty forward thinkers discuss these questions in a moderated conversation, featuring comments and questions from the viewing audience.

Performing Arts Showcase at 8:00 p.m.

As part of December’s focus on arts and humanities, Forward Fest will present a special performing arts showcase of student and faculty work. Get a first-hand look at how artists are adapting and in some cases enhancing their performances for recorded and online media.
