Successfully Publishing Journal Articles in the Humanities and Social Sciences is a two-hour workshop by Wendy Laura Belcher based on her best-selling book Writing Your Journal Article in Twelve Weeks: A Guide to Academic Publishing Success. This workshop will address ways for those in the humanities and the social, behavioral, applied, and health sciences to avoid the ten most common mistakes that scholarly authors make when submitting articles to journals, with a focus on argument. Belcher is a Professor of Comparative Literature and African American Studies, a long-time editor with academic journals and an award-winning scholarly author. She has worked with over a thousand scholars around the world and her workbook helped most of them to publish their work in peer-reviewed academic journals.
This event is geared towards faculty in the humanities and social sciences. All attendees will receive a copy of her book Writing Your Journal Article in Twelve Weeks: A Guide to Academic Publishing Success.
