Project Title: PFAS biodegradation
Project Summary: Various incubations and column experiments will be conducted to track the biodegradation of PFAS and growth of Acidimicrobium sp.A6, which is responsible for the biodegradation process. Analyses of various chemical species like fluoride, ammonium, iron will be required.
Student Roles and Responsibilities: The student will assist in sampling and analyses.Students will not work with the preparation of PFAS solution, minimizing exposure.
Additional Considerations: Start and end dates are flexible, but the student should ideally be available from 10am to 3 or 4pm daily, for a minimum of 5-6 weeks.
