Project Title:  Plasma assisted cathode material and cement synthesis 

Project Summary: 

Electrified manufacturing of lithium ion battery materials and cements are critical for CO2 reduction. In this project, we will use low temperature plasma to synthesize lithium ion cathode materials such as LiNiO2 and/or cement (e.g. metakaolin: Al2O3.2SiO2). The work will be conducted with a graduate student and a research staff member.

Student Responsibilities: Students will do experimental support, data analysis, literature review.

Additional Considerations: Students are expected to attend 5-8 weeks.
