Petry receives 2014 Packard Fellowship in Science and Engineering
Oct. 17, 2014
Princeton University faculty member Sabine Petry, an assistant professor of molecular biology, was one of 18 early-career researchers nationwide to receive a 2014 Fellowship for Science and Engineering from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. Petry uses biochemical and engineering approaches to uncover the mechanisms that generate the architecture of cytoskeletons, which give cells their shape and internal structure. She studies how malfunctions in cellular structures occur, which lie at the heart of many diseases involving cell proliferation and cancer. Fellows receive a five-year grant of $875,000.
