Zachary Nichols joined the Research Development group at Princeton University effective Sept. 9, 2024.
Nichols works with faculty to provide strategic planning and proposal support to secure external funding for research initiatives. Prior to joining Princeton, Nichols was project manager in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research at Tufts from 2021. At Tufts, he managed proposal development for federal grant and contract applications and submitted proposals to a broad array of federal funders. Prior to Tufts, he was program manager for economic and social development at Management and Training Corp. in Washington, D.C., from 2017-2020. He also had roles as a legal intern at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Hague, Netherlands; a research assistant in international law at the University of Iowa College of Law; and as a student assistant and teaching assistant at Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany. He received a bachelor’s degree in politics from Marymount University in Arlington, Va., a master’s degree in international relations from Jacobs University, and a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.
