Faculty Research Forum
The Faculty Research Forum has been suspended for the remainder of the academic year in accordance with the University's guidance around coronavirus (COVID-1). The Office of the Dean for Research is dedicated to supporting faculty and their teams during this rapidly evolving situation. We thank you for your patience and look forward to restarting the Forum in the future.
Research Orientation Program for New Faculty
The Faculty Research Forum aims to create a conversation between new faculty, research administrators and senior faculty around success strategies for establishing a research program as an assistant professor. This forum is a new program for first- and second-year assistant professors being piloted in AY19-20. Assistant professors are welcome to join the discussion series when they first arrive on campus, or during their first two years. Each session introduces broad topics relevant to launching an independent career, with an emphasis on building faculty-administrator relationships and developing an interdisciplinary peer network on campus. Selected sessions are tailored to research in specific disciplines; others will be hosted as a shared conversation across all disciplines. The Faculty Research Forum program is sponsored by the Office of the Dean for Research with participation from campus units that provide services, advice and support for faculty in their scholarly activities.
