The Faculty Research Forum supports Princeton researchers from all disciplines in launching, sustaining and growing their research efforts. The series introduces early-career researchers to broad topics relevant to launching an independent career, with an emphasis on building faculty-administrator relationships and developing an interdisciplinary peer network on campus. Programs cover cross-cutting topics such as crafting grant proposals, managing finances and recruiting students, as well as specialized sessions, for example on applying for National Science Foundation CAREER awards or National Endowment for the Humanities funding. Some sessions are tailored to research in specific disciplines, whereas others are hosted as shared conversations across all disciplines. The offerings include a mix of panels, workshops, information sessions and presentations.
The Faculty Research Forum program is sponsored by the Office of the Dean for Research with participation from campus units that provide services, advice and support for faculty in their scholarly activities. Researchers who have ideas for programs or sessions, or who have questions about current offerings, are invited to contact any of the following sponsors within the Office of the Dean for Research:
Karla Ewalt, Senior Associate Dean for Research
Coleen Burrus, Executive Director, Research Development and Strategic Partnerships & Engagement
Elizabeth Adams, Executive Director, Research & Project Administration
